Looking back to look forward

As we ring in this new year it is easy to get caught up in the frenzy of what’s new; resolving, refreshing, renewing and rebooting. Goal-setting and decluttering are exciting but those can be more meaningful if we take some time to look back on the past, reflect on what has happened, what was expected, what went off course. How did those course changes affect what came next? Celebrate your joys and grieve your losses. Another year has passed, another 365 days of experiences. Did you fully experience them? Are you wiser for them?

Looking ahead to whatever the new year may hold for you (a new home? a new job? kids heading to college/starting preschool? retirement?) the wisdom you’ve gained through your experiences will guide your choices and decisions.
